Moving Forward...

Although these two weeks went by in a flash, there is a wealth of knowledge and content that I plan on carrying into this next school year. I have already set up a new blog for my students to interact on and to use a communication piece for students and parents alike. On that blog, I have set up their google classrooms for each period along with their classroom codes. In their google classroom each student has a bank account template and a pay check template that is individualized to them. With these documents, my students will have a balance and a paycheck for the job they will be responsible for. The balance in their bank account can be used for many different incentives that the students will decide upon. The blog will serve a huge purpose for extending learning such as students collaborating, I can post videos or extra links with deeper or alternate explanations of what concept I taught in class, and at the end of the year, daily assignments/schedules will be posted on it (this will be a student job), and it will be a great resource for students to go back and review the concepts that we have learned throughout the year. There really is no limit or end to the possibilities that the blog can provide, and I know that more opportunities will arise the more the kids and I use it. I do hope to inspire my own students to potentially keep their own blog or even to see how technology can enhance their own learning.

  2. That's exciting that you have already set up your blog. (My new one is a work in progress, but I plan to get it done before school starts.) What do you plan to share on your blog and how will you share this with your staff?
